Has anybody see this 67 Chevelle I'm describing? I remember seeing it in an advertisement and/or an actual feature in some magazine with a custom phantom grille. I'm really trying to find it again and get some info on who made that custom grille. I did some quick searching online and can't seem to find it and of course I don't have my old magazines at school here with me. I'd love to see how one would look on my '70 Monte. Thanks

Well, I know Impala Bob's sells them for some mdel years, but I've never been able to find a picture of a Chevelle with a billet grille, so I've never pursued it. Am interested, though.

Two toned--that's the one. Does you calendar have the owner name or any info I can stick into a search engine? I gotta see that car again! I saw Impala Bobs has custom billet grilles for '71 Chevelles and one other year, but not the '67. This was a phantom grille--went across the entire front end and covered the headlights. Looked SWEET!

Truthfully, I thought it looked ugly. Maybe if it didnt go across the headlights, it would be better. I've never been a fan of them going across the headlights, on any vehicle. But that's just me. Its hard to tell in the picture, but he did something trick the tail lights too...maybe clear lenses?

I'll look when I get home and see if there is any info on it.

Aw man, I'm usually a fan of the hide-away headlights on Camaros and phantom grills on things like 88-97 Chevy full size pickups too. I thought it was cool. If you could get me any name or anyway to look it up, pics would be great too! I'd appreciate it. Thanks

This may not be exaclty what your looking for but I know Zoop's just came out with a new Billet grill line. I am a dealer for Zoops and I talked to Frank Jr. at the GoodGuys show last weekend in Costa Mesa and he has a 67 Billet grill for Chevelles now. They are also doing Some 67-69 Camaro stuff too.

I went to his website to see if they were on the site yet and I didn't see them. I know they just got them in production and I think they are $199.00 for the 67 Chevelle grill. I am sending him my old 66 grill to have him use it for a template for the 66.

You can call me or call Zoop's direct and I am sure he can email you some pics of one.

Zoops number is (951) 922-2396 ask for Frank Jr. and tell him Greg from Hartrods sent ya, or just call me and I can see what I can do for some pics from Frank.

My info is in my sig or send me a pm and I'll give ya my cell number.

That's the one from West Coast Customs, but I thought I saw a two-toned Chevelle that had about the same exact grille. I think the grill is pretty cool even though I'm not a fan of what WCC usually makes, especially on 'Pimp My Ride'

west coast customs actually does some relly crucial stuff i mean crazy stuff they quit mtv pimp my ride because of the stupid stuff they made them do. they have done some radical modifications like turning a cls550 4 door mercedes to a 2 door and making it look stock. they did the same thing to a range rover i also heard they took an old charger and mated it to the frame of a new one check them out on tlc street customs i was surprised but that grill is awesome

There is definitely another one out there with a similar grille. I believe it sold on barrett jackson a while back actually. IIRC it was two tone maroon and silver, could be mistaken though.

I think that grill is a little overboard, makes the whole car look more like a wannabe Riviera. Might be cool, if it didn't cover up the head lights, but that's just me...

Yeah, Riviera is exactly what comes to mind. It makes it look like something other than a muscle car. I would much rather have a Chevelle than a Riviera....just my little opinion.

PistolPete is right, there are definately multiple '67s with this billet grille. After looking at one of the links someone else posted, the WCC Chevelle is DEFINATELY not the one I was referring to. Did you look at the rear end? The one Junior posted, in my opinion is georgeous in combination with the low stance! And yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about, but again, still a different car from the one I saw. I like them when they're done right. Wondering how one would look on my '70 Monte though...would be awesome if someone could draw it up for me. lol

Is this a the car where they carved the rear lights out of a block of clear acrylic? If so I remember seeing something about it....

Yes, it is the one with the solid tail lights. I saw it at the YearOne experience a couple years ago.
