I tried a search buy my computer was acting up and got stuck insearch mode.
Has anyone used the EZ wire 12 circuit harness? I`m thinking of getting one for my project and wanted to get some opinions. They are really cheap compaired to painless. This is for a 62 chevy truck so it doesn`t need to be or look original, just functional.

if its the same company im thinking of, i got one of their 2 circuit kits a while back. I have not installed it yet, but it seemed very complete and the quality was no cause for concern.

what bugged me a little was that i have to run the wires through the firewall instead of using the bulkhead connector, but you get what you pay for.

Bulkead connectors/grommets are available at
Impala Bob's
American Autowire

These will come with connectors.

I even have a couple laying around

The auction ended but this is the one I was looking at,

It doesn`t bother me about the bulk heads, just as long as it works correctly.

oops, my post was supposed to say 26 circuit. :clonk:

Anthony, as long as you can read a schematic and have a basic understanding of car electrical systems and can solder, you should be in good shape with a harness like that. You won't have all the factory correct colors/connectors, most likely, but as long as you know what it what you should be okay.

Well I thought it was gm color coded but in any case, the wires are labled where they go to. I`ve seen them advertized in the truck mags with full page ads so they can`t be that bad. At least you wouldn`t think so.

When they say GM color coded----this means after about 69
That 59 truck will have pink, black, purple wires for the taillamps.

Now they are Green, Yellow, Brown.

Thanks. My 62 chevy doesn`t have much wiring left so if the colors are different it doesn`t bother me. I was going to just get the 12 circut but I might get the 21 circuit. Not sure yet. Thanks.

I bought this same kit a year ago at a good guys show (18 circuit, I think). Anyhow, I plan on installing it in the next month or so. I am also interested in anyone comments as well. Please let us know any tips that would make our install easier.
