I just bought a car from the third owner, twice removed from the original builder. The heads are World Products I believe. They have a W cast into them, which was a nice surprise seeing that most of the cars I buy have standard fare rebuild motors. Guess I lucky this time!
Other cast #'s are: B08 96 NH 037
Anyone have an idea what these are? Chamber CC's, runner volumes?

I have a set in the garage and yes they do have a "W" cast into them. I might go out in the garage tonight to see if I see any casting #'s.
The set I have are 200cc intake ports and 72cc chambers. Get this Im in the middle of cleaning up the heads to sell them. I have a set of 64cc Dart Iron Eagle heads that im going to do a bowl port and narrow the valve guide bosses. Anyway when I took the valves out of the heads. One head had straight stem no name valves and the other had undercut Manley valves. I bought both heads brand new from Jegs assembeld.
The guy that set my heads up didn't metion there were two different valves in each head. This is why I do all my own work know.

037 means Sportsman II and have 200cc runners. They are either 72 or 64 cc. Don't know which.

Go to World's web site (http://www.worldcastings.com) and look them up. Well darn, looks like everything is now in Acrobat format. Bill Mitchell's doing, I'll bet. There should be a number on the end of the head. This is the part number. If you look it up it will tell you the chamber size and if the heads were factory assembled ("A" for assembled, "B" for bare).
SP II's are very nice heads. I have them on my bracket car. They respond extremely well to porting. David Vizard is a fan and gives them excellent coverage in his book's.

708142 is the number on the end of my heads. Sorry it took so long. You probably got them figured out by now.

I have heard some board members complain they are weak on the exhaust ports. I was under the impression people here were not too fond of this brand that's why I started looking at Dart. Keep us posted on how well you like them! smile.gif

I tracked down the builder of this engine, thank God. The heads are indeed Sportsman II Stage 2 heads with 200cc runners, roller springs and 72cc chambers. The builder did some bowl work on both exhaust and intake plus polished everything.
Thanks everyone!

Really there is not much difference between my Dart heads and Sportman II. The Sportsman II's transition from the seat to the port is better than the Dart in my case. My Darts are pathetic there is a huge step. It will cleanup but it looks like they could get a little closer to a smooth transition.
The Sportsman II's does have a very sharp angle on the short side radius of the exhaust. As far as flow goes the Darts are a little better but unless you port them they are pretty weak IMO.
