I have a 70 Chevelle ss so I think. I have the build sheet with all the SS options except z 25 or z 15. Is my car an SS? It has B22 SS emblems, 4spd, 396, f-41, SS wheels, SS dash (read on), A51 buckets, jl2 powers disc brakes, ZL3 SS conversion, G80 posi, G94 331 rear, C56 upper level vent (???), in box 55 SS air cleaner, and rear control arms are PPD (i think, hard to read). Is my car an SS? Are the control arms boxes? The fuel gauge in box # 42 is 83* is that SS? Wheels in box # 45 are AO-5, are they the SS wheels? In box 67 the interment cluster is GA, is this the sweep, idiot lights or Gauges? And the trim package is 75, What does that mean? Is there somewhere I can scan this in and have someone tell me what every box is?
I hope someone takes the time to answer all of my questions. This site has been such a big help to me. So much so that Im joining on the 9th when I get paid. Thanks to all, Jason

It is an SS. The B-22 Emblem code would oviously only be on an SS, as would the AO code wheel. Bet your car was built at Baltimore, as they do not seem to use the Z-25 code at all on a build sheet, only the ZL3 SS conversion. It is also a 396 car, as 454 cars use the Z-15 and list that as SS 454 Conversion, and also, never use the B22 door panel emblem code. Build sheet should also have the engine code on it in box #27, if it is legible. Hope this helps.

Based on my car, the GA in box 67 is round cluster. Not sure if another code elsewhere defines if you'll get the gauges in the cluster instead of idiot lights, as the tach is a separate item (box 72). My build sheet has GA and was idiot lights in the round cluster.

Box 27 is TX is that correct for 396? The exact wording on sheet is ZL3 SS 396 CONV and it was built in Arlington Texas.

Well, my engine is a 350HP 396, and is code TW.

You may have a 375HP 396. Gotta be somewhere on this site that has all this listed, I'll check around.

EDIT: Might be a typo on my excel spreadsheet with the TW. Seems TX is the code for 396 350HP.

My build sheet clearly states L34 396 4BL ENG. I think it might be you that has a 350HP with me. You may want to check all the codes and see if L34 was the same TX as L78 or 375 HP. Jay
