I have a 4 barrel 350 that is being rebuilt to about 350 gross hp. what are some easy ways to pick up some torque/hp? Right now i have a small 4 blade fan.

should i upgrade it to a electric fan or both? or i can get a midyear corvette fan. what are the advantages/disadvantages to electric fans?
If i remove the fan I will still have a pulley for the power steering.

Does synthetitic motor oil give you more power?

I am getting a K&N X stream filter.
I am running SB manifols with dual eshaust

Any other ideas?

Headers, free flowing exhaust and a mild stall convertor would give you the most noticeable gains.

I've heard many problems about headers.. my eshaust is 2.25 to the mufflers and 2" to the tips. (can't beat free)

I am getting a stall convertor, i was just looking for an 10hp gain

I've never had problems with running headers on any of my cars, but I understand if you choose to stick to manifolds.
Playing games with air filters, electric fans, etc. is a waste of time in search of small hp gains, especially with a mild street combo.
A good 14" open element air cleaner/filter and a 7 blade clutch fan is all you need in that department.
You can run synthetic oil, might be worth a little something.
Make sure your ignition timing/curve is set up properly..this will be worth driveability and throttle response, which usually translates into some people's definition of perceived HP gain by the increased seat of the pants feel ;) :D

I'd have fun with that motor and spend my money on drivetrain then a motor with more torque like a 383 or even BB. If you like to tinker anyway do what you want and have fun. Electric water pumps are pretty and do give you something but you need to plan your accessories well. I don't have drivers without AC or PS. But everyone is different. You won't get much out of synthetic oil except maybe longer engine life, less frequent oil changes, but higher prices.

Spend the money and get serious porting done on the heads.
