I just got some ACC carpet on ebay for half price :hurray: and when I looked at it I noticed that there is no grommett for the dimmer switch. I thought there was a little plastic ring that went around it? Is there not? Does the carpet not come with that anymore cause of fitment issues? Where do I get the plastic ring?

I ordered a carpet and it had one with it, Not sure where you can get one.

I just put new carpet in mine and I didnt use the rubber grament for the dimmer switch. If you want mine pm me your mailing address and and Ill send you mine. Its brand new! Just return the favor for someone else here when they need help with something. And your only a couple hours from me, I live in Springfield Missouri. I grew up in Joplin and been to tulsa many times. My ACC carpet had the grommet, I sure a minor oversite when being packed. I would imagine a simple phone call and they would be more than happy to put one in the mail at N/C.

No it is just loose in the shipping box. You have to cut a hole in the carpet and install the grommet into the carpet. Don't know about color specific but I would guess that they are all black.

I didn't get one with me new carpet either. Carpet was from Ground Up

My ACC carpet came with one loose in the box also. Cut a hole in the correct spot for the switch and it makes your "cut job" look professional. :thumbsup:

I ordered carpet about a year and a half ago through OPGI and the grommet was pre-installed and fit perfectly. Sounds like there isn't much of a standard practice out there.

FOUND one in the box and its black, I think I might spray it green the same color as the carpet to match. but im glad that I had one.
