Oops, wrong forum. Jeff, could you move to performance? :(

I'm building a 1978 malibu 2d... I'm getting ready to order Moroso Trick Springs for the front and rear of the car this summer. The one problem I have is the car is all in pieces, so I can't weight the front and rear of the car to get an idea of what spring I need to order.

Does anyone have a combo similar to mine to help me with weight when ordering? Or have any experience with the Moroso Springs?

Front: I've got, or will have a stock front body, fiberglass hood, A/C delete, alum radiator, BBC alum heads, BBC iron block, waterpump, intake, wiper delete, manual steering, sway bar delete. All other engine compartment items were removed. Weld prostar skinnies

Rear: Ford 9", Weld prostars, M/T ETS's, stock gas tank removed, 10 gln fuel cell added, battery moved to trunk.

This is for a strip car that will see OCCASIONAL cruise-in's (13:1 compression will do that for ya).

Thanks...

Posted it there, but didn't get a response. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

I'd probably recommend the heavier if the two G-body BBC Moroso springs. That's what I run and my lower control arms are about 1" or so off the bump stops at ride height (floor jack barely slips under front frame). My car scaled as follows:

1958 lbs front & 1580 lbs rear (12 gallon fuel cell darn near empty).

Thats with an iron headed bbc, aluminum radiator, CSI electric h2o pump, f/g front bumper, f/g hinged hood (glasstek 5" cowl), manual disc brakes, manual steering, heater box removed, no front sway bar, 15 x 4" Convo-Pros, stock front fenders and inner fender wells.

Even with the approx 70 lbs savings of aluminum heads, I'd still lean towards the heavier Moroso spring.
