Now,remember please,this from a kid thumbing through a catalog,not an end-user! FWIW.

Eddy,

If your choices are limited to just those 2 brands, run the Crane 138831 R-268/420-2S-8 and a 4000-4200 SS converter.......

BTW, I have some new cams coming for that general class with .708" gross, .690" net, lift.m I am doing the 263/271 at .050" masters in the next week or so for a dyno test in a magazine.
These are STREET-ramped cams, not the Super-K series of the same lift.....

My big tire is a Hoosier Quick Time Pro 28x13.5x15 on a 10x15 Centerline Convo Pro w/5" backspacing, stock wheelhouse.Dunno if the Poncho wheelhouse is the same or not.JB runs the same wheel and tire but it's 14.5 and rear is narrowed by 2".
My daily tire is the same wheel with a BFG 275 60 15.

Hope that helps a little on your tire.I'd compare the wheelhouse to a Chevelle/Malibu first though.

Eddy,
Just my opinion but,,,
If you are planning on a real roller get rid of those lifters.
They are a time bomb with any kind of real spring pressure.
Even the real engineers at Comp will tell you this. (not talking about the "help line")
If you have to run Comp or Crane look at the new Cranes Pro series or whatever they call them or for Comp, the 819's.

My preference would be Isky Red Zones or Crower with the HI Pressure Pin Oil Option.

If you decide on the Isky's email me and I can probably save you a few dollars on them ;)
