I`m in need of a second air compressor. My project truck is located a hour away and I don`t feel like lugging my 60 gallor 6.5hp compressor with me everytime. for the stuff I do at my place I don`t really need the big compressor so I`m thinking of leaving that one with my truck and getting a smaller 115V compressor for home. I do use a 3/8 and 1/2 impact from time to time but usually just quick bursts of no more than 20-30 seconds. How big of a compressor should I be looing for? I`ve seen 1 gallon, 5 gallon, pancake style, ect. I don`t know anything about the little guys so I have no idea what size I need. I work on bikes so there isn`t anything that really makes the air tool work that would suck up alot of air.

I've never had any luck with the small oil less compressors .....smallest one I'd think about would be 15 gallon tank 3 hp 2 cylinder OIL unit !!

I've got this one and it works beautifully. It may be a bit bigger than what you're looking for but I figured I'd chime in.

well thats about the size I was thinking but I can`t afford that price. Maybe i can find a good used one that fits the budget.
