I'm looking at this 1971 Malibu....350 2Bbl/TH350, the original engine has been cleaned up with new gaskets/new timing chain set. It has new springs, brakes, bushings, axle saver bearings, good glass and good dual exhaust.

The trunk and floors are good but has typical rust in rear window and quarters. Current owner added Monte disks front, sale includes stock wheels, hub caps and seat.

He says it runs and drives great but needs an alignment. What do you think it's worth $$?

looks like the car i just bought....my roof and paint were worse, but my quarter panels were better....interior looks the same as mine....i paid 3200 but i have to get the roof replaced for around 1000....

thats just how much i paid for it....i dont even know if i paid too much or got a great deal

comparing it to my car and the price i paid for it......i would pay anywhere from 4-5k for this car

i would say 2000=2500 at best. getting rear quarters put on can be costly also check the frame for rot up where the front fenders are close to the front of the doors.
I paid 4800 for my 71 and it has no rust what so ever and it had a descent 350/350 in it.

I gave $4000 for mine and it was in about equal condition. Better in some areas worse in others. The quarters aren't too bad if you shop a little or know a dealer.

He wants $7000 firm for the Chevelle.

I went to look at the Chevelle and was surprised to find he has a private junk yard of 90-100 Chevrolets, all 50's & 60's cars. There was a row of 25 or 30 tri-fives. His "for sale" cars include two 67 El Caminos (one has a transplanted 396), 69 Pontiac 428 convertible with factory AC and a 56 V8 Belair 2 dr hardtop.

No camera with me but a great way to spend an afternoon!
