does anyone know how much a cast small block & p/glide weigh compered to a ls1 & 4l60e 0r just the difference between the two. thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong here but an LS1;
-can be installed lower than a old school SBC
-is shorter in overall height than a old school SBC
-can be installed farther back ... slammed up against the fire wall since the distibutor is not on the back of the motor
-the motors weight bias is actually lower since the manifold is plastic
