So what combo are you street/strip guys running to get in the 12s with a 350(no strokers)? Gearing, slicks, mileage? All info welcomed.

High 12s are my goal these year. With untouched world s/r heads(1.94/1.5) and a 203/212@.050 economy cam the best I have gone is 14.3 spinning bad out of the hole(didn't get the hand of Drag Radials yet-best 60ft of 2.1)...according to my 1/8th time on one run I would have hit 13.9 on a good run but I was braket racing and already had the guy covered so I got out of it. Right now I mph in the 97.5 range in cool weather. I have a Tremec TKO 5-speed and 3.42s out back. So far I have ported my heads significantly(35hrs+), added an electric fan instead of flex fan, got rid of 100lbs on the front end, going to add a 230/236@.050 solid cam and up to the compressin little more than half a point. Just wondering what else I will need to get there..with a good 60ft time in the 1.8-1.9 range my car would probably be running 13.7s-13.8s right now.

What weight are you dealing with?
Is it a Chevelle and if so what year?

4.10s and a comp 274 hydrolic roller cam. I bet that would do it and still get you 18 mpg. graemlins/waving.gif

Car is an 81 Camaro...weight is probably just as much as a Chevelle(3600lb range).
