Hi guy's,
I have a small block, I was told it was a 350, the numbers are
1 6 S 1 3 4 3 1 3 V 1 1 1 9 C K T
Any help here with what it really is and where she came from?
None of the trim tag or Vin numbers correlate with it, so I guess it's not oringinal to the car.
Thanks,
Gregg:thumbsup:
The CKT I get is a nice little LT1....

Thanks F1, thats a start.
I guess I got a bargain or a plus! It has aluminum heads on it now, have not got to them yet.
If anyone else has any info, please chime on in
Thanks,
Gregg

1 6 S 1 3 4 3 1 3 is the con vin derivative
1 - Chevrolet Division of GM
6 - 1966 model year
S - St Louis Assembly
134313 - serial number of the car
V 1 1 1 9 C K T
V - Flint Engine
11 - Nov
19 - day
CKT - Something wrong, its a 1966 CON VIN and a 72 engine code???
These 2 codes do not fit with each other. Either you made a mistake or someone has stamped 1 or both of these after the fact?

No mistake on my part... The motor is in a 66 Nova. I rechecked the numbers and they are, to different fonts.
Meaning, the 66 Con Vin font is smaller than the V1119CKT. If thats a clue. Great, I have a restamped block... Damn!
I guess I didn't get a bargain after all.
I did not buy it as a numbers matching vehicle, but I didn't expect a restamp either...
Thanks
Gregg

Block casting number reads 3970010. Looks like it could be a lot of things...
