What do you guys recommend when setting up the clearance between the oil pickup and the bottom of the oil pan? Let's just say I had to do a little "fabricating" on the oil pan to make the engine fit. The factory clearance was about 1/2" and I think that might be a little high.

Most suggest 3/8 inches. Take the gasket in consideration when doing your test fit.
