I have a 163 intake manifold here and I'm trying to figure out the casting date.

On the bottom, it has 140853 and a little cast 'clock' next to it. There is no rectangle shaped box like I'm used to seeing for a date code, just the numbers. The snowflake is on the top runner, under the 184375672.

There's also small triangles cast onto the the top side in a few different locations.

Can anyone date this manifold? Thanks.

I checked my two 3933163 manifolds and the date code is on the bottom (lifter valley side). I thought the 163 manifolds had an oil splash shield covering the date code but neither of mine have the shield or signs of ground off rivets.

The last ones I've seen dated from 1965 to 1969 didn't have an oil shield, but I know some of them had em. I'm just wondering what the numbers on the bottom mean.
