he is 2 1/2 and never ceases to amaze me. last night, he was showing me a red car on his little fleece blanket, telling me it looked like "daddy's race car", which is how he and my other son (8) refer to my chevelle. it is not a race car, they just think it is. anyways, he then points to a yellow car and says that it is his "race car". we talked about how he wants a yellow one, and i asked him if he wanted a nova or an impala, for snorts and giggles. he boldly said "nova!" i was getting a kick out of it so i asked him what year, 63 or 68...he responded like he really knew what he was talking about, saying "65!!"

so that's it, i better start looking for a 65 deuce to work on:D

I have two boys as well. You think he's cool now wait till he's outside watching you work and you drop a fastener only he can reach. Talk about tear jerker. Makes me misty eyed every time I remember that tiny hand holding that stainless fastener and that huge smile of accomplishment:D:D Cool stuff.

My son is 3 and calls my '69 the vroom vroom car. When I first got it he was 2 and cried whenever he got in the back seat, saying it was too loud. Now he tells mommy it's cool and to stay outta the garage because we have work to do  The pictures I have of him on my creeper underneath the car with an open end wrench are some of my favorites!

my boys looooove washing it with me. we do that a lot here, since its warm enough to drive all year long. there is usually more playing with the hose and soapy sponges than anything else. i've got them working now...the older one does the mag wheels and the younger one scrubs the tires. it takes them as long to do all four as it does for me to wash the rest of the car.

Sounds like a little car guy!!!:hurray:

Both my 3 and 4 year old sons refer to themselves as car guys...
My 5 year old daugher is also a muscle car fan...

But when I fire up my L72 Vette, they run out of the garage.
