Hey Brothers

I got a set of heads from a friend. The haeds have about 10000 miles on them maybe less. As I stated in some pass post I am rebuilding my 307. I could not find a case number but the the heads had DRT 007 in between the valve spring towards the right and S/S on the left. I think they my be Dart Iron Eagle Heads. I want to know if there valve clearence in the cylinder bores for these heads to work. I amgoing to Bore the Block .030 over and put a stroker kit together for the engine using some of the thing that I have gotten from the post in the past.

Not sure but i can find out tomorrow. A 307 uses the same bore size as a 283 small block chevy but a 3.25" 327cid crankshaft

I had a 283 with 2.02 valves. I'm not saying the valves aren't shrouded, but they don't hit the bores--at least at the .450 lift I had.

Can't say for sure on the exhaust side, I don't remember what size valve I had on that engine. But if the 2.02 intakes don't hit, I really wouldn't expect problems with the 1.60 exhaust.

The heads came off a Jasper Gen 1 Engine.

Those Dart Iron Eagle SS heads will work, they are pretty much the same design as a fuelie head i was told Today when asking about your casting in question

It is a 165cc intake runner

I would hold the lift down on 2.02"/1.60" big valve heads when used on a 283 to like said already, about .450".

Please look at the roundy-round cams if you want one that's lift-limited and HEALTHY.
