mr 4 speed i was heading back to the track this sunday in search of better e.t's and maybe alittle more mph out of my combo...(2.73 gears got to love them...lol)

i did the rpm intake swap (had the old torker 2 low rise) and havent changed nothing else.....yet....lol,i think maybe i might be running alittle lean on the secondary's since im running 73 jets in front which seem to check out fine.....but i havent had a chance to increase jetting in the rear they are 76/77 with no power valve.....i had the 5-7 cylinders one jet richer since they was sharing the same air/fuel on that torker......when i tried the tall yellow spring last time at the track and lost some mph and im thinking it may be due to lack of fuel since the secondarys would be more open with the lighter spring.......i have tried the tall yellow spring before when i had 82 jets in the rear and was getting a honest 1.5 mph increase over the stock spring.....that was during the phase when i had pinging problems and jetted it richer to feed more fuel to help out with the pinging problems ....but after i found that problem i jetted back down to 72/75 jets which i thought was stock but had forgotten that was with a power valve in the rear.....but i was finding that with no power valve the 750 carbs had 80 + jets in the rear.......

sunday at the track i was going to see how much better the rpm intake was over the torker then my second pass i was going to throw in 80 jets to see if the mph will come up even more over the current 104 mph blast from previous outing.....i was just going to keep feeding the rear more jets til it falls off then try the yellow spring again.......

im kinda shooting for some 105+ mph runs with a hopeing 13.60 something e.t. with a better 60 ft time......2.20 60 ft times under full throttle with no tire spin sure is slow....but with the new rpm intake i think i have that covered since the bottom end really woke up....i just hope i can still leave the line under full throttle with out tire spin now at the track........

385 stroker, 186 double humps 1.94/1.5, 286magnum comp cam .497" lift, 236@.050", performer rpm with 1/2" devided spacer, 3310 stock 72 front jets, 6.5" PV, brown cam, 2.5" exhaust with x-pipe, 3.50 gears, i do know that opening the secondaries sooner gave me lots of power I havent tried the shortest yellow one but I am using the one that is 2nd to fastest in terms of opening, I think it's the long yellow. Ill mess with jets next time I go to the track and report back.

461 with 781s, 3310 with 74s front, 82s rear with no rear pv. Short yellow spring with check ball in diaphram. If you are playing with the springs then get a quick change kit. Nothing like changing diaphram springs in about 2 minutes.
