Previous owner installed electric windows in my 65. The electric windows were functioning at one time before a under-dash fire toasted the harness. They're not stock with relays...that's about all I know.
When I bought the car I removed the complete wiring harness. I bought a AAW wiring kit and now have the engine wired and the car is running/driveable.
The passenger window is half way down and has been this way since I got the car...I'D LIKE TO ROLL IT UP :)
The motor only has two wires BLUE and BLACK. Can somebody let me know how to wire the window to roll up without using a switch right now?
I can take pictures if needed. THANKS

Ground the black wire from the motor and apply 12 volts to the blue wire. This will activate the window regulator motor, either up or down. If the window goes down, then reverse the above procedure and ground the blue wire and apply 12 volts to the black wire.

If they're GM motors ? one wire is + up and the other is + down
The motor is grounded by the door frame

Thanks guys... I will try this. I think they may be GM motors but I am not positive. Either way I'll give both a shot.

Guys,
This will help me a lot also. I have a 69 malibu convertible that was in the middle of a restore when I bought it. All windows are up but the motors aren't wired up. Now I can get them down. Thanks guy! :)

If they are aftermarket window with blue/white wires----they are reversing polarity.
will also have 5 pins on the window switch.
If your window switch only has 3 pins----then the motor is grounded, and the two wires to the motor are both feeds----1 is up-------the other is down.
I would strongly suggest that you do NOT do a one to pos and one to neg on this type of motor-----bad things may happen.
Check the back of the window switches----passenger door----driver door will have many more wires on it. ( I think 9 on a 4-window on early switches---more on a late model)
