Or are they different?

Right now I have an sbc in my Chevelle and I may eventually go with a big block in the future. I'm definitley staying with headers.

However I also have a glasspack exaust. And while I'd like to replace the exaust now I wasn't sure if I should wait or go ahead now.

Then again I had considered dumping my pipes just before the rear tire so perhaps it may work? I dunno....

No, they are all slightly different not just in length but height. My Hooher competition headers are up above the crossmember so the pipes off the collectors need to be bent at the crossmember to connect.

The headers I have now.......not sure what brand they are but it looks as if if the pipes coming off them could be straight they may just barely clear the cross member. :confused:

So does this mean that if I swap my current banged up headers for a new pair... that I"ll probably have to mess with the flanges on my X pipe to get stuff to line up again?
