aight took my 30 over 350 to the machine shop and had the following done.....

bored 60 over and honed 100
desked the block 20 over 150
new cam bearings installed 20
frezze plug installed 20
resurface heads .020 20
vatted the motor and stuff 40
connect piston to rods 30
valve job and springs installed 75
CRT (what ever this means) 75

then the parts
valve springs 40
cam bearings 20
frezze plugs 11
new oil pump 19
timing set 16
piston rings and stuff 92
________________________________________
total 768

this is with all new brand name parts......

did i get rooked or is this all just about right??? he does real good work tho i know several engines he did...... graemlins/thumbsup.gif

oh yea ill have my motor togeth and back in by friday night for those of u who are wondring :D graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I would say that here in ATL that is a very good price! I had one done at a local shop here at home and my cost was 975$ over 2 yrs ago.Hope all goes well .

hmmmmm....... I would say it is his location...... lol its right next to the drag strip literaly spittin distance from his drive.....

Sounds like about $100 cheaper than the machine shops in Portland, Or/Vancouver,Wa

hmmmmm i guess i didnt get to bad of a deal......the guy is real honest to about it...... I told him if it needed it to do it cause i didnt want to do it again......and i wanted it to be pretty peppy and so that it would run on pump gas......

im sure he could of really bumped the numbers on up there if he would of wanted to.......
