The original BB cable has a square retainer to hold the cable by the carb, the ones they sell now have a round grommet. Bracket # 3949071 for Quadrajet, 3949088 for Holley. Bob 67 vette guy Mar 10th, 08, 9:52 PM Dave, Although the gas door is listed as fitting a 1968 through 1972, there is a difference in the them. The 1971 and 1972 gas door has two raised areas, one on the left side and one on the right. I have one of each but it will be tomorrow before I can get a picture of them to show the difference. 67 vette guy Mar 11th, 08, 2:36 PM Dave, In the picture of the two gas tank doors, the 1968-1970 type and the 1971-1972 type. The top door is off my 1969 and the bottom one is off a 1971 Chevelle. You can see the two raised areas I'm talking about. It's a small difference but I do not know how correct you want to be. The 1968 thru 1970 Nova, Impala's, and 1969 and 1970 Camaro's all have the same tank door. SSuper Dave Mar 11th, 08, 9:25 PM Thank you! I had never noticed a difference. 67 vette guy Mar 12th, 08, 8:53 PM Dave, in case you go used.... don't overlook the gas door from an Impala. I found that when the door is installed on the Impala, it does not seem to close very well. It is because the rear valance of the Impala, shares the two screws that mount the gas door.
