I was warming my car to pull it out of the shop. It was revving a steady 2500 rpm when the MSD box started sceaming and the engine died. I made a quick check and found nothing. Cranked the car again and searched for the problem as the engine ran rough and the MSD kept making the same noise. The coil wire had jumped off the cap post and was shooting a spark about 2".

When I was running pre-HEI days I had the power wire come loose off the coil when I was sitting at a stoplight. I looked for 10 mins when all of a sudden I saw what happened and felt like an idiot for having the loose wire. smile.gif
