How many of you have used the reproduction ss hood ofered for the 1967 chevelle SS ? I have heard some bad storys about them and would like to hear some of your thoughts on it , my stock hood has some issues near the striker pin , and I think I will have to replace it .:(

I bought a Goodmark 67 SS hood and it fits great. No problems at all, but I know others that were not so lucky. Try to find a local company that sells the parts and get to know the person that does the Goodmark ordering. Usually if something does not fit correctly, they should work with you and might offer a replacement. Good luck.

I have one on my '67 and it fits great also; I have photos of it in my photos on this site. I only paid $199 for it and it came with the inserts from OPGI.

glad to hear some positive reply's I 'am a little worried about it , but it seams to be pretty hard to find a clean original for a fair price .

I have a goodmark as well and it doesnt fit all that well, it is humped up on both sides and in the center at the back. On the sides my body man bent it and made it fit really well until he raised and lowered the hood then it went back. My hinges are good and they move with ease. I guess I am going to have to live with it. A friend of mine bought one as well and has alignment issues as well. Also his new inserts didnt fit well as he added metal to the hood to fill in the gaps around the inserts, but my inserts fit good. Go figure.

mine fit ok after a little tweaking in the rear of the hood.

Mine fit very poorly and took a lot of tweaking to make it fit well enough to close without chipping paint from the drivers side fender at the very front edge and passenger side in the back corner of the hood. No own seems to notice the huge uneven gap between the back edge of the hood and the cowling but me.

you might look at replacing hinges, if you cannot adjust it out. Alot of older, worn out rivets in the hinges or bent arms on the hinges can really through off alignment. I have good luck with all reproduction hoods I have bought.

I gonna tag team with cuz here. I also have one fits fair but where the louvers go is terrable I had to weld in pieces to make them fit and the holes for the louver studs were way off.

Check it out on their website
The part number is KHA667
It comes with the hood, the louvers, and the front edge hood molding.
