I have a 1966 El Camino that was drum/drum. I added the Global West control arms and the B-body spindles with the 12" brakes. I bought a new 1967 'Camino disc/drum master cylinder. Now I am confused about what combination valve I should use. Should I get one from a 1967 El Camino? Also, the project is a body off, so I have to purchase a brake line kit. Should I purchase a brake line kit to a 1967 El Camino with disc/drum to match the master cylinder? Isn't there a difference in the connection between the 1973 B-body caliper and the stock caliper in respects to what flexible brake line I should purchase. I guess what I'm trying to say is there an adapter or aftermarket flexible hose that will connect the old style hard line and the newer style caliper? Or should I have the hard line connection custom made from the manufacture to match the newer flexible hose?

If its a frame off you could make all the hard line out of stainless steel like I did. You could also have braided SS lines from the hard line to the calipers. For those you could measure the stock rubber line and have a place like G&J aircraft make the braided ones.

What is coming off your master cylinder? A combination valve?

Use a porportioning valve from a 67 disc/drum car. If you replace the lines you can use stainless or steel either will look lousy after awhill with road dirt, it's either the money or the show. As for the flex lines the local Napa store can find the right rubber hoses with sae or metric connections depending on what your calipers are. Most aftermarket disc conversion use metric. Hope this helps.
