Sorry to beat a dead horse here....I know I asked this question a while ago and got some great feedback, but I found another cam and was wondering if you could give me the thumbs up or thumbs down on it?

Car specs again....

Engine (being rebuilt as we speak)
327 .040 or .060 over if need be
steel crank/ reconditioned stock rods
Performer RPM heads/ Performer intake
600Electric choke carb
HEI accel ignition
10:1 comp with forged pistons....possibably nitrous kit later
2 bolt

Trans
TH 350 with b&m shift kit recently rebuilt
1500 or 2000 stall

3400lb car
open 3.08 10 bolt (eventually ford 9" with 3.90's or 4.10's)
drums all the way around

for now it is definelty a street/strip car.....only driven during the summer/garage baby
have 225/70/R15 all the way around

I guess that sums it up
I was thinking of going with a Lunati cam....

2,000-5,500
Duration at .050 224/224
Gross lift .460/.460 LUN-00017LK

Do you know if those come with the lifters?

Also, what would you recommend for a solid cam?

Thanks a bunch smile.gif

PegLeg71,

The LUN 00017LK is a cam and lifter set. I'm not sure of the price, don't have my price sheet here tonight. This cam should work just fine in your car, but it definitely is as big as I would go. The 112 LSA should make it compatible with your converter/rear gear.
For a solid, I wouldn't go any bigger than the 264F, perferrably on a 112 LSA also. It is 264 at .020, 232 at .050, .470" gross lift and .454" net lift. Making it on a 112 LSA and installing it on a 106 Int CL should give you enough bottom end. It will be a lot stronger than the hydraulic on the top-end.
I believe the solids are a few bucks more than the hydraulics.
