I've been thinking of just boxing the stock control arms rather than laying out the cash for new ones. All of the inserts I've found (those that I can find) are all missing the triangular notch in the ends of the insert.
Are the originals notched? Just a minor thing, but I'm a detail freak. Plus I'm concerned if these squared off ones will fit right.
Thanks!

I boxed a set and the inserts fit very poorly. Especailly where the reinforcements are around the sway bar holes. I ended up replaceing them with some factory boxed units.

I've boxed a couple sets of LCA using the inserts purchased from Hinshaw's. It takes a little tweaking but the fit was fine. I believe the key to the spacing around the sway bar bolt holes is to place bolts/nuts thru these holes and tighten snugly before welding in the inserts. Need to watch the heat while welding these too...go slow.
V shaped notches...I don't remember if they had them or not. If not, could easily be cut out with a cutoff wheel before welding.
