I have a '90 model dually with a tired 454 TBI in it. I plan to stroke it to a 489/496 and use a hydraulic roller cam in it. I happen to have a new one out of a 454 HO engine (211/230, .510/.540). This will be in front of a very well built 700R4 (no towing in OD, lockup converter, non-computer controlled) which replaces the factory TH400. I'd like opinions and real-world experiences regarding this much stroke and cam with the stock computer system. If you don't think this one will do the trick, who would you recommend for the custom or upgrade chip?
Thanks in advance for all your help!

At a minimum, you'l need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. You can modify yours to be adjustable.
Real simple, hardest part is brazing a 1/4-20 nut on. You'll need a custom chip due to the cam and CI increase. There are a few "mailorder" places that do them. The best way is a chasis dyno and burn a new chip. The Turbo Shop may have a decent running program for you computer already.
