Been checking out the site the past week and made a couple of posts already and found out how cool it is and decided to join. I'm the original owner of the '72, purchased in Oct. 1971 from Modern Chevrolet in Lubbock, Tex. Also got married that same year and today I still have both. Even though she will tell you which one is in better shape. Born & raised in the South, but the military(Retired) left me up here in the Northeast. Proud to be on your team.

Fantastic car man, great to see an original. ive recently bought a 72ss and am waiting for it to be delivered to Ireland, cant wait , its in the container and ready to be shipped any day now.:hurray::hurray:

You would be right Tim. I'm a MCC member too and it's about a 9 hour drive for us to go to the show. But it's worth it. Lot of great folks there. They had gorgeous weather & they broke a Chevelle attendance record too & we all took a cruise out to Cecil County Dragway & Bob Wilcox arranged for our Chevelles to make a pass on the track & I think I was the first one to say I'm in. Hope to meet you this year. Dave

Hi Dan. It was an L48 car originally. Found the build sheet under the carpet in the back when first time I pulled the carpet out some 25 years ago. It was also ordered stripe delete, but that is the original color, Sequoia Green. Painted 17 years ago. I always wanted to stripe it & found out if it were to be striped from the factory, they would of been white. So I wanted to personalize it, since I wanted to have fun & get away from stock & said Gold will do. Can't help but liking the red ones too like yours. Dave
