I've got '88 Camaro rear disc brakes mounted on the 12 bolt of my '66 Chevelle. I have nice stainless steel hard lines mounted on the rear end. Does anyone know if I can keep the nice stainless hard lines and connect to the banjo fittings (or banjo bolts) of the camaro discs?

I would say yes. Just thinking out loud, but why would it matter if you had a metal line first, then your rear rubber line, or just all rubber for the rear? I wouldnt see that being a problem.

A couple of things to consider: 1. The calipers are the "floating" type, which means they move back and forth (not a lot), and 2. You would have to disconnect and rebleed the calipers when you changed pads. I personally would have a short rubber line at the end just to make things easier.

Excellent point Randy, yes the calipers do need to float. I guess I need to see how the camaro rear end was set up.

If you have the 88-up aluminum calipers, they should have hoses at the caliper. The 82-88 cast iron calipers had a hose on the pass side and hard line on the driver's side. Kinda strange setup. It does go to show that you can just use hard line, but why make it harder to work on the brakes. :beers:
