i took my carb off this past weekend to clean it out and adjust it and just look it over basically....but upon losening the bolts that hold it on the intake, i noticed 1 of them wasnt really tightened down at all(i could losen it with my fingers pretty easy) low and behold when i was putting it back on, i realized that indeed the hole on the intake must be stripped...you screw it down a little, it tightens, then it just losens up again...stripped...this is probably why i was getting gasoline into my oil somehow...either way, im assuming il have to drill a hole out the next size up?although i wont do that myself id pay to get that done...any suggestions or is that what im looking at doing?thanks guys

It's really not all that hard to re-drill and tap it out or better yet put a helicoil in.

Try some carb studs 1st...they may thread a little deeper for you and grab some good threads.

Um, I don't thing that'll get gas into your oil. Keep looking for that problem.

I'll vote heli coil, too even though I've never had to use one, but I hear they are all the rage with the kids these days.
