is a roll bar for protection only or does it get the car to hook better also...mike

6,8,10,12 pt. cages add strength and rigidity so won't flex under hard acceleration. 6pt isn't going to provide near as much of these qualities as a 12 and greater pt. cage will. But still would recommend at least 6pt to help protect and make that car more responsive! Goodluck! :cool:

I was also curious about this too , been thinking about one for my car.What I would like is a half (?) rollbar , not sure what you call them , but they are in the rear seat area only , no tubing around the driver just behind the front seat.Is this a 6 point ? What are the differences between 6-12?
