Paint is too thick, sand it off and shoot another picture.

Where's the vin#. If you sand that you will damage the pad marks. Use a paint stipper.

naa, fine sand paper won't do any damage at all, the number stamps will still have the paint in them and the broach marks will show up.

Didn't VIN stamping start in 68?
