My glove box door latch on my 71 is so loose, I can spin the latch around and around! I do NOT have a key for it. I bought a complete lock kit and have a new lock for it. I don't really care if I change the lock or not, but it being so loose, it's driving me crazy!!!!! What's the trick to tightening or removing ???????

This works like a charm (I used a tiny screwdriver) to get it out....once you get the tumbler apart, you should be able to tighten the locknut up easily, (unless it is broken) then reassemble....pretty straightforward when you know how!

Its a pdf file. It sounds like you need to go to adobe.com and download the adobe acrobat reader. The link worked fine for me.
