Nice! - I like the hood & color combo. What does something like that cost?

Well I have no clue how much it would be to have a shop do the hood. Doing it yourself is pretty cheap if you feel comfortable cuttin up a pefectly good hood.

when i talked to him, it was a little over $700. i just have never been a fan of his chevelles. the lines on the rear look a little weird to me. almost like the middle of the car has been stretched and the trunk has been shrunk. also, the body line above the wheel needs to go up, not down.

i like the paint. which color is that? what wheels are you going to use? i still cant decide if my red is too bright for a big car (its in the sig), but once i do, im going to get a rendering done.

I'd rather not say the price but he is a great guy to work with. Thanks for the coments so far. As for the color it is Porsche atlas gray. The wheels are ze forged boosts.

Have you started on the actual car?

Just started on it. I am just a reagular blue collar guy so it will be a long time before its done. I bought the car when I was 15, ten years ago, and drove it through high school and then tore it all back down and started thinking about what I really wanted.

For anyone who thinks I wasted my money on the drawing, It was a birthday gift and probably one of the best gifts I have ever recived.

Good to see a younger guy on here. I picked mine up at 16 drove it in high school and that was 14 years ago.

Love the project and I am in the same boat. Hopefully when I get my truck paid off I'll start on my '70.

Good luck on the build.

I got my car at 15 and have been able to hang on to it for 12 years now. I just started working on it again. Maybe a lot more younger guys out there than we think. Good luck on your projects guys.

you in no way wasted your money. ive looked into some sponsorship, and i know renderings help. btw, im in the same boat as you. im 25 and have had the car for 9 years. it was awesome to drive through highschool and college, but i need WAY more now (read: 10x's my original budget, and still twice what the wife thinks its costing).

What constitutes "young"? hehe

I'm almost 30. I was lucky enough to have a 70SS for so long but now I love my 66' so much more. No more garage queens for me.

:thumbsup:for the pro-touring look. I'm ready to convert to pro-touring myself.

Now who wouldn't want something like this!!!

thanks for the comments everyone. Hopefully with some of the parts I have on eBay I can make some extra money to really get started on the car.
