How is the fuel tank vent line supposed to run on a 68? Someone told me there is suppose to be some type of canister or catch can. Is this true?
Thank you, James

The hoses go from the two vents on the tank upward through a retaining strap and end just before the bottom of the trunk floor. The two hoses go into a fitting that looks like an "H" with one leg missing at the top. A piece of foam (most use lawn mower air cleaner foam) is stuffed into this fitting. The tank will leak fuel under braking when it's full with this setup, and will sometimes drip if you're parked in a down hill direction.

Bill, thank you for posting the old discussions. There is some good info there. Guess I need to order the fitting for mine.
Thanks, James
