Hey guys,


Dumb question but I need your help. The back plate on my 72 center console is broken and I ordered a new one. It comes with a black and yellow wire. Which do I hook up to the Red and White wire that were hooked up the the old plate?

Black is usually always ground.

OK, I only had a red wire and white wire hooked up to the original piece that broke,so how should I hook this up then?

another words black to white and red to yellow, or visa versa.

I know its a dumb question i just want to be sure?

Originally the orange wire is hot and the white wire is the ground.

As far as which wire goes where it really doesn't matter. It will work either way.
