Can the A1000 pull fuel from a modified stock pickup (3/4 inch aluminum hardline), instead of sumping the tank? I would have the pump lower than the fuel level but it would still have to pull it up through the moddified stock pick up then back down to the pump ( upside down "j" shape)

The reason is because I want to have a stock appearence on the outside ( no obvious sump and pump directly behind the rear axle)while still haveing fuel support capabilities

I use that pump and it would probably work okay but maybe at the expense of the pumps' electric motor brush's. It may shorten the life of them if it is not truly gravity fed, because it still has to suck up the fuel out of the gas tank and then push it forward. That pump is designed to only push the fuel forward.

A few years ago I used to have the exact same set-up you are contemplating now, but was using a Mallory Comp140 pump instead. My pick up was a 1/2" aluminum tube modified to the factory pickup. I wound up going thru two sets of fuel pump motor brushes prematurely because the pump was not truly gravity fed. Hope this helps.

BTW, I think your signature is a little 'sick'. ;)
