It is sad to hear all the problems some of you guys have had trying to get quality body and paint work done. I lack the background to do the type of work I wanted done on my 69 so I was forced to have someone else do it for me. My wife has a friend who's father owns a bodyshop near by and we decided to start there first for bids. He came to my house and went over the car with a fine tooth comb and said he would call back with a price. Couple days later we met him for morning coffee and we talked about the work that needed done, what order it would go, who was responsible for what, and the price. Everything we discussed was exactly what I was looking for.....then he told us "I am honored that you are asking me to be a part of the restoration of you car. I know how much it means to you and I will treat her as if she were my own."
Every step is being documented with a camera and I get phone calls to update me as things progress. I make sure I am there to do my part not to hold them up and they are doing their part to complete the job on time. It has been a fantastic experience for me and I'm not sure it looked this good new. The edging is done and final paint is coming shortly. I will post pics soon, thanks to my new friends Bob and Ola.
