took the car out today and i will say i'm happy with the final results.

as far as the performance for my daily driver its done.

i have been tunning this engine for the last 3 or 4 months now.

with an oil change to synthetic 5w-30 weight and changing the flex fan to a stock clutch fan the car picked up very well.

i ran a best of 13.505 @ 107.19 mph with a no spin take off 2.15 60 ft time.

my last outing before this one today gave me 13.70 @ 105.93 mph 2.17 60 ft time.

i think this is pretty good for a 3900 lbs car with 2.73 gears and full exhaust running on 245/60-15 uniroyal tires.

my goal was 13.80's at 102 mph and i have achived this goal and passed it. so the engine combo is done.

time for paint..........

ddeenis,

That is deifnitely a lot of MPH for the that 60' time. I know you have probably posted this, but what is the cam and converter in this car?

With that MPH and the right gear, that car could go 12.30-12.50's depending on if the 60 ft. was in the 1.7X range

the cam that im running is a delta regrind cam. it specs out at. 233/239 @.050 with a .548/.551 lift with a 111 lobe center.

the convertor is a cheap 150 buck (to your door) 2400-2800 TSI stall 12" it slips about 7.6% on the top end and it break stalls at 2500 maybe sometimes to 2600 rpms.

the convertor stays under the powerband to allow me to hook on radials but at 3000 rpms the engine really starts pulling. and i shift at 6500 rpms.
