I have a zz502 in a 72 nova, that I am upgrading
soon. I purchased a crower cam #245hr253-.612-.636
245-253@.050". This cam is slightly used. I also am thinking of sending the heads out for porting,
to cfm tech, highly recommended. A couple of stupid questions, Is it worth having the heads ported? What kind of gains should I expect with just the cam upgrade? And how important is it to "degree" the cam on install?
Car went 11.60 @115 with 1.72 60 ft. I would love to get into the low 11's high 10's, is it possible with a hyd roller? Sorry for the long post.

That cam in my wifes camaro ran 11.10 at our high altitude(6500 DA) and ran a 10.90 in boisy(3500 DA) so if your DA is better I dont see why you wouldnt hit the numbers. With head porting you should hit the numbers quite easily...IMO
