I just purchased a 2004r to put in our 68 Malibu and was wondering if anyone has any pointers on installation? I heard the most critical part is the set up of the TV cable, how do you set it correctly? Will I be able to use the same mount for the 200 that is currently on the 350? Will the driveshaft that I currently have need any modifications? I am under the impression that it does not. I just want to eliminate any problems that I might not have prepared for when I make the swap. The car is my wife's daily driver so it can't be down for too long. I appreciate any words of wisdom that anyone might have to offer. :)

Here's a nice chart showing you the differences in transmission measurements. 350 and 200 mount at totally different locations, also you will more then likely need a new drive shaft.

You can use your current trans mount, you'll have to relocate it, or buy a custom cross member that works with your car and tranny. Bowtie OD's has them for sale.

Drive shaft is the same length if you have a short shaft 350. Move the X member back to fit. Then you'll need a lock up setup. Here's a link to the TV cable geometry.
