: New Source For 1966 Elky Rear Bumper?
Bilster Feb 25th, 08, 11:06 AM I was doing my typical weekend search for a decent rear bumper for my '66 Camino when I came upon this listing on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320221318839&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=011
I jumped on it immediately. My offer was contingeunt on the fact that it really is an El Camino rear bumper and not a Chevelle's. The company is checking with Dynacorn. I got on the Dynacorn website and as of today, they don't list any early El Camino parts....although I know for a fact they make bumper brackets. So the website is not an accurate depiction of all the parts they carry. If this is legit, those of us that don't need a $600 OEM bumper are in great shape....and all I got to say is, "IT'S ABOUT FREAKIN' TIME"!!!

"Plate light"? It (license plate light) should be the same as the '66...
The '67 has the "backup light" cutouts in the bumper (and the '66 doesn't), but otherwise should look correct...

Thats what I mean't Sorry......
Bee Feb 25th, 08, 12:54 PM It does list it as a 66 Chevelle El Camino Bumper, my guess is this is the one for the Chevelle. However it would be great if someone made these. Good luck.

The company (Select Motors) had the same issue that you've described and couldn't guarantee the bumper was an El Camino bumper without consulting Dynacorn. I'll keep you posted.
cuisinartvette Feb 25th, 08, 9:59 PM Id love to get a new 67 rear bumper also. No 1/4 panels or inside bed panels, either.
Aaron67 Feb 26th, 08, 12:42 AM I saw "new" rear 66 and 67 listed on the el camino store site as "comming soon" a month or so ago. But they are not listed anymore. But I wouldn't doubt they are indeed making them now/soon. There IS a market for them, just look at the prices on ebay.
Bilster Feb 26th, 08, 12:54 AM Well...it was a pipe dream. The bumpers are for Chevelle only. They released me from my Buy-It-Now. That's one good aspect but unfortunately no new bumpers from Dynacorn in the near future.
I have a near perfect stocker but someone, for some strange reason, took a hack saw to it cutting off the passenger corner. It's completely gone. If anyone knows of a junker with that corner intact, I would appreciate the tip. The search continues.....

Marv D Feb 26th, 08, 7:44 PM Well I'm going to have an extra 67 Elky bumper in a few months. I have to get the project car back from primer prison, and sort through which mount brackets and rear bumper I'm going to use. I have 2 that are in really nice shape. Obviously I'm keeping the best brackets and bumper for myself, but honestly until I mount them both and check fit and finish,, I can't tell which is better. Without wanting to cause a problem with the rules,, I'll figure out how to offer it to all you guys here first. Surely don't want to evilbay it just so some moron can rape someone else for it (that just pisses me off to no end)
Bilster Feb 28th, 08, 12:20 PM I would be interested if you want to PM me. I have done many deals on this site using PM's. I'm sure that's legal. Moderator....let us know if I'm wrong.
Bee May 22nd, 08, 11:40 AM Just a heads up, I noticed a 66 rear bumper on ebay (buy it now listing).
