I am thinking of getting a Holley HP950 carb and saw on Ebay that they sell the HP for much less than from Summit or Jegs.
I understand that they assemble the carbs themselves and change jetting, etc.
Any pros or cons to buying one from Allstate or should I pay extra and get one that is made and assembled by Holley themselves.
THanks

I have been using one for a couple of years. Ran good right out of the box. Good tech back up when I had questions. Had a needle seat problem last summer but suspect it was just some junk that got past the filter.

Purchased mine from them. Other than being pig rich for my motor, it was fine. Oh, it came with holes in the butterflies, too. I have plenty of idle vacuume and don't need the holes but they didn't do anything detrimental. The car idles very well and runs great.

They are very good quality and are ALL brand new parts.

IMO, $535.00 for the same piece you'll get from Jegs for $635.00 is a good deal!

I bought my 950HP from them and have been very happy with it. As said before, mine's jetted a little rich but I was told by them that they follow Holley's recipe when building their carbs; so I can't say it being rich is really their fault.

What jets did the Allstate carbs come with? My Holley 950HP has 78's square, and both power valves.

I was told by Allstate that the Holley HP950 comes with 78 prim and 78 Secondary and theirs comes with 78 Prim and 88 secondary with no power valve and jet extentions
