My car is to be painted on Sat. using Sickens BC. The bodyman who is Very good , plans on painting the shell, doors and trunk in one session and then the fenders and hood the next. I am worried about the match. color is 58 autumn gold. He says it will be no problem and it won't fit in his both together. I have always believed that metalics must be painted assembled. Even slight differences in pressure or paint stirring can make a difference. I would like some input here from you guys. If I have to insist on him painting together I want to be sure. It was over $900 for base and clear. thanks Gary

There are many times in my shop we cannot fit all the parts in the booth so we paint them later in the day or the day after and we paint all the cars all apart and never had a problem in 30 years just mix a batch of paint and have extra for touch-ups or mistakes if he is experienced he knows what he is doing and there should be no issues. Good luck and post some pictures when painted.

make sure the doors and fenders are standing up ( NOT LYING DOWN), the metalics need to lay the same as the quarter panels.

Thanks for the expert advice. I will trust his and your opinion. Let the paint fly, I can't wait . Gary
