I asked some questions about this a while back but now I am confused again - big suprise there? I have an alumitech BB radiator on my '66 which also has a long water pump. I was told that I needed to swap to a short water pump to run the dual electric fan set up that Don carries and I would have to have it welded to my radiator. To go to a short water pump won't I have to change some of my pullys to keet the belts a lined up?
Also, in the "Chevelle Tech - WOW look at this 67 " section I saw a '67 with a BB aluminum radiator, long water pump (looks like a long pump) and dual electric fans? It looks like it is possible but who knows what fan set up it is?

I have a short pump on the big block in my '66, BeCool alum rad, and twin dual electric Spal fans bolted to it. The clearance between the fans and w/p pulley is so tight that I can't run the cosmetic nose cone on that pulley; clearance is less than 1/2". Unless your rad and fans are much thinner than mine I don't personally see how it would all fit.

Think Don have a setup with dual fans for early chevelles. Heres a thread.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I should have been patient enough to find out that Don and his gang would solve this issue. They're the best!

Oh, I guess I should also thank jmeek66 for providing the input to getting the setup produced.

IMO. I cant see running a long water pump just because there is "more brakets available for that". I have found that, even though the selection of SWP brakets are must less common, they are not hard to find. I would rather have the space to accomidate the electric fans then to have to deal with clearance issues because of insisting of a LWP. I have Zoops for my 66 SWP application.
