Just got new Soffseal weatherstrip for the roof rails on my 69 chevelle. They don't
have the channel (or groove) that the window closes into like the originals. Are they
going to work? Would like to know that they'll work before I pull the old ones out.

They'll work. Soffseal is by far the best manufacturer of replacement weatherstrip.
