Just two days ago I noticed strange new files starting to appear in my computer in the "My Documents" file. They are named like this pos1B6c and are in numerical order. The properties "right click" says that it is a temp file. I have noticed that they seem to be multiplying. I can't delete them or send them to the recycle bin. I have run a virus scan and computer check up with no help. Everything checks good.

Please help! Are there any computer geeks out there that know what is going in my machine?

google pos1B6c and it comes up as a trojan virus.

you need to go and have a good long look at this thread. Don't get intimidated by the huge lists of stuff, it gets deleted en mass by helper programs.

if you want to delete files that you can't delete, start your computer under safe mode. from then you can delete anything you want. but do consider that if you delete something that is needed to run your computer or a program that you need and use, your SOL

On that link and in the thread there was another link to http://www.superantispyware.com/and that free software is GREAT. It found 457 harmful files that McAfee missed.
