I've had my sb 400 in for a while and now it's time to give it some more power. It's bored over 40 and has a mild cam, but that isn't enough. I've already looked at the sb combos on Team Chevelle's website. Does anybody know some good sb 400 combos?

Eaganeer has a healthy 400 that he built last year. Search for his posts and dyno numbers.

My .02cents buy the best heads available for your intended useage and build around them. I have had good luck with my AFRs, but there are plenty of good heads out there to choose from.

I hate to toot my own horn graemlins/hurray.gif but,Look no further than my SBC 400 which has dyno close to 500tq/485hp under 6000 rpm and most important it very streetable with a idle of 850-900. Plus their is still power left in the combo, becasue I did not do any major change on the dyno. I was just looking to break my engine in and get a few pulls, so no jets change and with two different carbs 3310VS and 4779 Holley.

DEEBOO, Nice combo, I took a look at the dyno sheets, did the 4779 carb make more power?
