I'm getting pretty serious about a cam here, and I know this has been addressed some, but I'd kinda like to hear about it again.
For performance, whats better, not accounting cost? The solids like to rev, but dosen't the roller allow for quicker ramps? Any input on the subject is fine..
My boss took me for a ride in his '03 c*bra that has a cold air intake and cat back.. does 12.89 @ 115 w/ 2.3 60'.. He's definately got my 12.09 @ 113.8 w/ a 1.85 tied or maybe beat. It's not a contest or anything, but I was surprised what gains he made with bolt ons.
I'm shopping for a cam anyway, and I'd like to try to get it right to get my HP over the 600 mark, well over it if possible :D
One last one.. say two cams, solid and hyd, both measured @ .006, are 296 or whatever.. the solid @ .050 is 255, but the hyd. is 231.. or whatever the numbers may be. Why is there always such a discrepancy between hyd/solid .006's and .050 #s?
and if I can tack on another Q, how much difference does a 75 deg humid sunny day at the track vs a 45 deg dry fall night mean?

Thanks everyone..
I'd be lost without this place.
